PyFinanzas Terms and Conditions of Use

This is a translation of the Spanish original for convenience. If the two versions differ, the Spanish version is the one that applies.

These terms govern the use of the PyFinanzas mobile app ("the app") and the purchase of the products offered within it. By creating an account or making a purchase, the user states that they have read and accepted them, together with the Privacy policy. Anyone who does not agree may keep using the app without an account, with the features that do not require one.

1. What PyFinanzas is

PyFinanzas is a tool for the user to record and organise their personal finances: transactions, wallets, budgets, goals, debts and reports. The data is stored on the device itself, as explained in the Privacy policy.

The app is developed by Antser Rodríguez Viñas, domiciled in the Dominican Republic ("the developer"), who can be contacted at Antser.rv.dev@gmail.com.

2. It is not financial advice

PyFinanzas does not provide financial, accounting, tax, legal or investment advice. The reports, projections, suggestions and answers of the artificial intelligence assistant are guidance calculated from what the user records. The decisions the user makes with that information are their sole responsibility.

3. User account

The app can be used without an account. An account is needed to buy and use credits.
The user is responsible for keeping their access confidential and for the activity carried out with their account.
The account can be deleted at any time from Account → My profile, or by email as described on the Delete account page. The effects on credits are described in section 5.

4. Products sold

All purchases are made through Google Play, which processes the payment under its own conditions. The final price, with applicable taxes, is shown on the Google Play purchase screen before confirming.

Product	What it includes
Permanent account	A one-time payment that permanently enables the features marked as paid on the user's account (for example, suggestions or reading photographs in Import).
Credit packs	A fixed number of credits added to the account balance.
Subscription	A monthly or annual plan that credits the account in each paid period: 550 on the monthly plan and 6600 at once on the annual one. It renews automatically until the user cancels it.
Donations	A voluntary contribution to support development. It grants no credits or features.

5. Credits

5.1 What they are

Credits are units of use consumed when using the app's artificial intelligence features. They are not money: they have no monetary value outside the app, earn no interest and cannot be exchanged for money, sold or transferred to another account.

5.2 How they are consumed

Each feature shows its cost, or its minimum cost, before using it.
In the assistant the cost depends on how many lookups it needs to answer, and the total charged is shown when it finishes.
If an operation fails because of the service (for example, the AI provider does not respond), the credits for that operation are returned automatically.
An operation interrupted by the user, or whose answer was already generated, is not returned, because its cost has already been incurred.
There is a daily usage limit to protect the service.

5.3 Expiry

Credits do not expire while the account exists, whether purchased, received with the subscription or as a welcome gift. Subscription credits not used in a period stay in the balance.

5.4 Welcome credits

When an account is created, welcome credits are granted once per device. They are a gift: they are neither refundable nor exchangeable.

5.5 Refunds

Refund requests for a purchase are handled with Google Play, under its refund policy. If Google Play refunds a credit purchase, the developer may deduct that purchase's credits from the balance.
In addition, the user may request a refund of unused credits, or dispute a charge they consider incorrect, by writing to Antser.rv.dev@gmail.com from their account's email address. Each request is assessed case by case and answered within 30 days at the most.
Credits already consumed in completed operations are not refundable.
None of the above limits the rights granted to the user by the applicable consumer protection law.

5.6 When the account is deleted

Deleting the account erases its balance. Unused credits are lost and are not refundable. The permanent account, however, is not lost: creating a new account with the same Google Play user associates it again. Before deleting the account it is advisable to cancel the subscription in Google Play: deleting the account does not cancel it.

6. Subscription: renewal and cancellation

The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period and is charged through Google Play.
It can be cancelled at any time from Google Play → Payments & subscriptions. After cancelling, the plan stays active until the end of the period already paid and the next one is not charged.
A period's credits are added when the user opens the app after the renewal.

7. Artificial intelligence features

AI answers are generated automatically and may contain errors, omissions or inaccurate data. They are proposals: the user must review them before saving them.
The app saves nothing proposed by the AI without the user's confirmation.
What data is sent to the AI provider and how it is authorised is explained in the Privacy policy.
The user agrees not to use the AI features for unlawful purposes or to send third-party content without the right to do so.

8. Limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law:

Calculations, balances, totals and reports depend on the data the user records. The developer does not guarantee that they are free of errors.
Exchange rates are obtained from an external service and may be out of date or differ from those applied by a bank.
AI answers are not guaranteed to be accurate or complete.
The developer is not liable for financial losses arising from decisions made on the basis of the app's information, or for the loss of data on the device. Turning on the Google Drive backup is recommended.
The credits and AI service may be temporarily interrupted for maintenance or because of third-party failures (Google, Anthropic).

Nothing in this section excludes liability that the law does not allow to be excluded.

9. Acceptable use

The user agrees not to tamper with the app or its servers, not to try to obtain credits or paid features without paying for them, and not to use the app contrary to the law. A breach may lead to the suspension of the account.

10. Intellectual property

The app, its name, its design and its code belong to the developer. The data the user records is theirs.

11. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. The last-updated date appears at the top. Relevant changes will be announced within the app, and continuing to use the paid products after a change implies accepting it.

12. Applicable law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Dominican Republic, in particular Law 358-05 on the Protection of Consumer or User Rights. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of the Dominican Republic, without prejudice to the rights the law of the user's country of residence grants them as a consumer. The user may also turn to Pro Consumidor.
